I bought this to pair with a Shimano slx, just to have an inexpensive spare setup for a beginner that occasionally fishes with me. Purchased rod and reel in the middle of winter. Went to the nearest body of water not completely frozen (the river) just to make a few casts and test it. On my other setups, I have a Sahara, a few stradic ci4's, and an Exsence. I was definitely impressed by the nexave's casting distance and how smooth it was.
