This is my second Curado DC, it is well made, light weight and a dream to cast. And while the reel performance speaks for itself, I am more impressed with ALF. They treat veteran's like myself right, have great prices, fast order processing, an awesome rewards program and some of the best shipping rates. Oh yeah, and I like the fact that they are centrally located, items arrive days sooner than some of the West coast outlets. Highly recommend for your fishing tackle needs.
So far so good. Very easy to use and adjust. Make sure that you adjust the spool tension for each bait that you put on and to make it work correctly (not backlash), you'll need to turn the tension knob about 1/4 to 1/2 turn more after you have adjusted it for a slow fall of your lure. You can fine tune it even more by using a combination of the tension knob and the spool breaking adjustment on the side. It casts a mile after you have it tuned in and you'll love the sound the computer/chip makes while casting. Almost sounds like a turbo or supercharger on a car. So far, I've used both light and heavy baits and they both go a mile. Don't be surprised if you have a few backlashes while you are dialing it in and getting used to it. I was casting like a pro after about a 1/2 hour or so.
