Featuring a patent-pending adaptation of the dorsal fin weed guard pioneered by the Dark Sleeper, the Sleeper Gill can be sent where others fear to swim. Its jungle-crawling ability enables precision targeting of weed areas, intricate laydowns, cover areas, standing timber, bottom structure, and more. The concealed top hook presents a natural silhouette to trick veteran targets and hides a hollow zone that compresses for sure hooksets. A low center of gravity design and pectoral fin balancers contribute to bottom-contact swimming stability, allowing for stealthy approaches through key structure areas and standup ability on the pause.
Finished with a sensitive tail that responds to slow retrieves, the Sleeper Gill can be crawled along the bottom to kick up a delicate disturbance, echoing the movements of gill and crucian carp. This is the best swimbait out there. Cast it any way you want. Smaller bass don’t easily hook on it slightly bending the hook out helps if your fishing for quantity.
Started using them a week ago. The last 2 times I went out I was getting skunked, started throwing this and BAM! Fish On! Casts like a dream and crawled it through some pretty gnarly cover and no problems.
The only bad thing is that every now and then the hook becomes exposed on one side or the other of the dorsal fin. Easy fix though, just hide it again and fish on.
Would definitely recommend, will be buying more.
Same quality you’d expect out of a Dark sleeper but in a new profile. Love the colors, they really made them realistic and made them pop! Need to bend the hook out just a smidge just like with dark sleepers not to miss a bite but they are gonna rock for bluegill heavy lakes
