Soft enough to protect light line, yet subtly strong and responsive. It's rated for 2-6 pound line and lures up to 1/8th of an ounce. It's designed to cast small spinners or spoons in creeks and small rivers for trout, but would make an awesome crappie rod. It has our up-locking reel seat and the distinctive composite cork handle. A beautiful light weight ultra-light.

Amazing Rod - Poor Quality Control

This is an amazing rod to fish, however G Loomis quality control is lacking over the past few years. I have some unevenness and small gaps where the tapered but section of the composite cork attaches. I have a GLX Trout and it has similar issues.
