A slightly more powerful back-trolling, plug rod for fishing faster, heavier water and larger salmon species. These rods have been discovered by sturgeon anglers to be effective especially in tidewater where the water isn't too deep or swift. It is surprising how large a fish can be handled using this rod. It will handle up to 6-ounces for back-trolling or back-bouncing, but for casting purposes, it will handle about 3-ounces.
